Rajasthan Tourism’s Latest Videos Will Make You Love The State Even More

Here’s a confession. My favourite state in India is Rajasthan (closely followed by Himachal Pradesh). I love the contrast and castles it holds. I am a fan of its food and even the overtly sweet chai that has now spread across Mumbai as well (most chaiwallahs in my city are from Rajasthan). I have travelled to the state multiple times with different friends and have always enjoyed my stay.

Which is why when I came across the revamped Rajasthan Tourism website today and stumbled upon these videos, I was immediately transported back to the many destinations I have been lucky to leave my footprints on.

Rajasthan Tourism’s clean new logo. Its videos explore the beauty of the state perfectly

The five videos cleverly juxtapose the actors’ names with the state and create memorable moments that will definitely make you consider putting Rajasthan on your itinerary asap! Created by Nirvana Films under the mandate of Ogilvy and Mather, the videos feature popular spots such as Kumbalgarh Fort as well as spooky destination Kuldhara, a sacred temple and a view of the river Chambal from Kota, a very Up-inspired hot-air balloon ride and one of the most indigenous ways of using a motorcycle in the desert.

Garadia Mahadev Temple, Kota
Looks too good to be true – which is the perfect excuse to explore this place!

Watch them all here and then pack your bags for Rajasthan!

The most indigenous bike in the desert –

Kuldhara, an abandoned village on the outskirts of Jaiselmer –

This one is clearly inspired by the Pixar movie Up but it still works –

Garadia Temple near Kota, although hard to believe such a serene place actually exists –

Kumbalgarh Fort, with its famous wall that is the second-longest in the world shot with a drone –

The superb song with each video just adds to the overall coolness of the videos. Indeed, the lack of elephants and camels and all other props that are usually associated with Rajasthan are what make these videos so great to watch. After all, who wants to see the tired cliches rehashed one more time? Well done, Rajasthan Tourism.
